Recently, Lions from the Rivertown Lions Club assisted in making Kenner’s Rivertown Night Out Against Crime Event a success by volunteering their time and refreshments to attendees. In conjunction with several local organizations including the city, local churches, and other non profit organizations, The Annual Night Out Against Crime event offered a great time for all who attended along with some great food and fellowship. The National Night Out Against Crime is an event observed nationwide in a multitude of communities. The event is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime programs, and strengthen neighborhood-police relations. Congratulations to the Lions of this great club for their efforts to prevent the evils of crime.

This past weekend, the St. Bernard and Arabi clubs participated in selling Big Bass raffle tickets at the St. Bernard Crawfish Festival. There was great food, great music, and great comraderie enjoyed by all. Pictured are several Lions from around the area who participated in selling the tickets. Thanks to these Lions for their dedication and support of our State Fundraiser.
